5 Mile Course Description

Mass start from the Mayville Pavilion at the sound of a large gun (or perhaps hammer, if Errol loads duds again this year). Head upstream passing the golf course and bridge until reaching "Elvis Island" (2.5 miles). Turn around "Elvis Island" counterclockwise and come back to finish at the pavilion.  The finish line will be downstream between two buoys placed even with the covered band shelter at the Pavilion. Water depth varies from 1-6 ft deep. The current is negligible and the course has no weeds. All known underwater obstacles are cleverly identified with the names of those who have hit them!
