The Predictor Cruise is at whatever
pace you choose. You pick a time that you think you can complete the
6.5
Mile course in and then see how close you can come to it. The winners
of the event will have the closest actual finish time to their
predetermined time without going over. We'll have no-one sandbagging
it just before the finish line. You must continuously paddle the final
1/4 mile.
This is a fun family event with classes specifically intended to
encourage fun.
The Predictor Cruise Course Description
The Predictor cruise class starts at the same time
as the 6.5 mile with wave starts at the Greenhead Boat Landing on the
east side of the Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area. Here, you put in
on the East Branch of the Rock River. The canoe trail follows the Rock
River to Malzahns Bay then to the Main Ditch where it turns south. It
follows the Main Ditch south and eventually returns back into the Rock
River.
Single Canoe Classis for canoes paddled by either a man or woman. Canoes can be of any type or style as
the type does not gain anyone an advantage in this type of event.
Tandem Canoe Classis for tandem canoes paddled by either a man or woman. Canoes can be of any type or
style as the type does not gain anyone an advantage in this type of
event.
Tandem Canoe
with Dog Classis for tandem canoes paddled by either a man or woman. Canoes can be of any type or
style as the type does not gain anyone an advantage. Dog must remain
in or near the canoe for the duration of the cruise. Dog can be of
any type and may swim along if it can't sit in a boat that long.
Single Kayak Classis for kayaks paddled by either a man or woman. Canoes can be of any type or style as
the type does not gain anyone an advantage in this type of event.
Tandem Kayak Classis for tandem kayaks paddled by either a man or woman. Kayaks can be of any type or
style as the type does not gain anyone an advantage in this type of
event.
